Florida Attorney General Asks California Supreme Court to Delay Homosexual "Marriage"
CFC
The Christian Family Coalition announced that Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum filed documents urging the California Supreme Court to delay finalizing its ruling to legalize homosexual "marriage."

The attorney general said in court documents, filed Thursday, that the state of Florida has an interest in the case because we would have to determine if our state would recognize the marriage of homosexual residents who "wed" in California.

"We fully support the attorney general's position; we do have a vested interest in this case.  Although we also believe that Florida's Defense of Marriage Act is legally sufficient to protect our state, it is vital that we adopt the Florida Marriage Protection Amendment into our constitution in November," stated Anthony Verdugo, Founder and Executive Director, Christian Family Coalition.

The state of Florida is asking the court to stay its ruling until after the November election, when voters likely will decide whether to amend the state constitution to protect marriage as the union of marriage as one man and one woman.
