A recent editorial, Gay rights a matter of equal rights, undermines constitutional principles in proposing that that Congress and the Legislature should heed judges' rulings.
The issue here is not any so-called rights for homosexuals, but rather the unconstitutional violation of the separation of powers committed by a judge who usurps the powers of the legislative branch of government and attempts to ``legislate'' from the bench.
Under Florida's Constitution, if the good people of Florida want to change the state's adoption law or any law, the Legislature, not a judge, is the only one that can do so.
