Christian Family Coalition joins the "
2011 National Day of Prayer"
MIAMI-This year, Thursday, May 5th, has been designated as the National Day of Prayer. The National Day of Prayer tradition predates the founding of the United States of America, evidenced by the Continental Congress’ proclamation in 1775 setting aside a day of prayer. In 1952, Congress established an annual day of prayer and, in 1988, that law was amended, designating the National Day of Prayer as the first Thursday in May.
"This is a time in our nation where we are at a critical crossroads, both fiscally and morally, if there was ever a moment where we need to STOP and seek His guidance for the future of America, it is NOW. That is why we are honored to be a part of the 2011 National Day of Prayer and encourage all of our members and supporters throughout Florida and the nation, to join us in acknowledging this important day in America by participating in an NDP sanctioned event in their area" stated Anthony Verdugo, Founder and Executive Director, Christian Family Coalition.
