MIAMI, FL. 05/17/2010 – The Christian Family Coalition (CFC) announces the appointment of Mark D. Boykin, as the Director of the CFC’s new created Palm Beach County Office based in Boca Raton, Florida. In his new position, Mark D. Boykin will work to protect basic human rights and advocate for civil liberties and social justice, for all, including people of faith.

“The CFC is one of the most important organizations in the state right now and I’m honored to be here in Florida working to protect religious freedom throughout the Palm Beach County area" said Mark D Boykin. “I look forward to continuing to work in Palm Beach. We have made great progress, but many challenges lie ahead. Along with our wonderful volunteers and the rest of the CFC staff, we’ll continue working hard to defend the rights of all Floridians, including people of! faith.”

Before joining the CFC, Mark D. Boykin worked to successfully secure, protect and defend religious freedom when he challenged the city of Boca Raton's discriminatory policy regarding the exclusion of nativity scenes on public property. He was again successful earlier this year when he challenged the city of West Palm Beach's attempts to weaken Florida's current adoption law which offers special protections for vulnerable and abandoned orphaned children.
