More than 100 people register for 2013 Day at the Capitol
MIAMI-Today, the Christian Family Coalition (CFC), Florida’s premier human rights and social justice organization announced the results of our Day at the Capitol event held across dozens of churches in South Florida on Sunday, September 16th 2012.
“More than 100 people all across South Florida registered in their churches, that’s almost as many people as we had last year, and we’re just getting started! Day at the Capitol Sunday is a call to action for our 2013 Day at the Capitol in Tallahassee, Florida, on Wednesday, April 3rd – Thursday, April 4th” stated Anthony Verdugo, Founder and Executive Director, Christian Family Coalition (CFC).
Christian Family Coalition (CFC) Day at the Capitol is the only event of its kind in Tallahassee that gathers hundreds of Christians from across the state of Florida to lobby their state senators and state representatives on specific pro-life and pro-family legislation. In four short years, Day at the Capitol has grown from 35 citizen lobbyists to 120 this year!
In prior years, CFC’s Day at the Capitol has passed the following legislation: school prayer, resolution supporting the nation of Israel, parental rights resolution, pro-life ultrasound bill, parental notification bill and a constitutional amendment to prohibit taxpayer funding of abortion. We also helped to stop a homosexual so-called "anti-bullying" bill, which would have required kindergarten children to attend homosexual sensitivity training classes!
This year's theme is Gideon's 300. An army of 300 Christians in Tallahassee!
