MIAMI, FL - An independent, nonpartisan, Blue Ribbon committee to analyze the proposed use of public money for Sun Life Stadium improvements has been created by the Christian Family Coalition (CFC), Florida's premiere human rights and social justice organization.

The Miami Dolphins currently seek up to $199 million in public money from state and county subsidies, throught a new $3 million state subsidy and increasing the county’s tax on mainland hotels from 6 percent to 7 percent.

The independent, nonpartisan committee of respected community leaders will study the use and fiscal impact of public money for Sun Life Stadium on our community. These leaders will then use their expertise to issue recommendations that will be useful to voters.

“This independent, nonpartisan committee is truly a rainbow coalition reflecting our community’s rich ethnic, racial, political and religious diversity. It represents the best interests of our residents and our families,” said Anthony Verdugo, CFC Founder and Executive Director.

Let us welcome the following prominent members of the South Florida community to the Blue Ribbon Committee (in alphabetical order):
