Floridians Support for Marriage Continues Overwhelmingly Strong!

<<<  Recent Poll: Extremists’ Anti-Marriage Plans Doomed.  >>>

MIAMI, FL - Today, the Christian Family Coalition, Florida's premiere human rights and social justice advocacy organization announced that extremists’ plans to overthrow the people’s will respecting Marriage in Florida have come crashing to the ground in a recent poll.

Earlier this summer, the anti-marriage extremist group called "Equal Marriage" Florida publicized that they were collecting signatures to overthrow the Florida Constitution’s respect for Marriage as one man, one woman by 2014. Now the fringe group is saying they have to wait until 2016.

Why has the plan to force Floridians to renounce their respect for Marriage failed?

"The support just isn’t there", said Nathaniel Wilcox, Executive Director of People United to Lead the Struggle for Equality (PULSE). "A survey conducted by Public Policy Polling and released in March of this year, revealed that while some individuals favor so-called 'civil unions', 60% of Floridians still support Marriage as one man, one woman. Statistically speaking, this number is identical to the 62% of Florida voters who approved our state's constitutional Marriage amendment five years ago".

Furthermore, when Floridians were asked in the same poll if they support a so-called “domestic partnership” bill filed in Tallahassee, which would transfer Marriage benefits to homosexuals, bisexuals and transsexuals, 77% said they were either opposed, or not sure.

These numbers clearly indicate that CFC’s ground-breaking work in support of Marriage is making the difference, for all the noise over allowing homosexuals reap the benefits of Marriage across the country, extremists in Florida have not been able to move the needle a single inch.

Conclusion: Despite the brutal pounding by the homosexualist ideological propaganda machine, Sunshine State voters overwhelming maintain their solid respect for Marriage as one man, one woman!
