2014 Day at the Capitol Kickoff Prayer Breakfast  

2014 CFC Florida Legislative Prayer Breakfast kicks off Day at the Capitol!

MIAMI-On Thursday, March 13th, CFC kicked off its 2014 Day at the Capitol in Tallahassee with our annual Florida Legislative Prayer Breakfast.

This year's event was hosted at the Doubletree Hotel with prominent legislators and guest speakers in attendance such as: Florida State Senator Alan Hays, sponsor of American Laws for American Courts (ALAC), he was joined by Florida State Representative Larry Ahern, sponsor of Offenses Against the Unborn Children, among other legislators. Finally, Professor Margaret McClain spoke on the importance of fighting the application of Sharia law in Florida courts.

Attendees at the prayer breakfast were challenged to boldly lobby and recruit co-sponsors and supporters on the CFC legislative priorities mentioned above. As a result of CFC's direct lobbying efforts, supporters met with a total of thirty-nine (39) lawmakers and secured thirty-two (32) co-sponsors/supporters on our legislative priorities. Nineteen (19) co-sponsors and supporters on American Laws for American Courts and thirteen (13) co-sponsors and supporters on the Offenses Against the Unborn Bill."
