Florida Attorney General
Against Homosexual so-called "Marriage" Lawsuits
On the Right Side of History!

MIAMI, FL - After months of hard work, the Christian Family Coalition Florida (CFCF) announced today a stunning victory as Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi filed motions to intervene in two seditious state lawsuits seeking to overthrow Florida's voter-approved constitution respecting Marriage as the union of one man, one woman.

As other state attorneys general have betrayed their Oath of Office and their constituents by refusing to intervene, such as in Oregon, or appeal rulings attacking voter-approved state constitutional amendments, such as in Pennsylvania; AG Bondi is on the right side of history and the law by fulfilling her duty to defend our State's constitution and laws on Marriage.

Bondi recently wrote in a piece published in the Gainesville Sun: "Defending the wishes of the voters who enacted Florida’s Marriage amendment necessarily requires me to make good faith legal arguments. Anything less than the best defense of our voters’ policy preferences would disenfranchise the electorate, and undermine the judicial process, this court should ‘exercise great caution when asked to take sides in an ongoing public policy debate’ and leave Florida’s important policy determinations to Florida’s citizens.”

In 2008, approximately 5 million Florida voters approved our state's constitution respecting the institution of Marriage as the union of one man, one woman, by a whopping 62% - 38% margin. Approval numbers among Hispanic and African-American voters were even higher, 62% and 71% respectively!

In response, Christian Family Coalition Florida (CFCF) issued the following statement:

"We commend Attorney General Bondi for her courageous decision to uphold her oath of office and protect the right of Florida voters to amend our State constitution. As the Supreme Court inU.S. vs. Windsor ruled, Marriage is a public policy issue, not one of constitutional law, as homosexualist extremists trying to overthrow the will of the people falsely claim. This is a victory for all Floridians."
