ACTION ALERT!!! Contact Florida Congressional Delegation and urge a "NO" vote on so-called Hate Crimes Bill!
As early as next week, the full House of Representatives will be voting on H.R. 1913, the so-called "hate crimes" bill!

The act would add "sexual orientation" and "gender identity" as protected classes to the existing hate crimes law.  It will mandate a separate federal criminal prosecution for state offenses.

The only purpose of this bill is to lay the legal foundation and framework for investigating, prosecuting and persecuting pastors, business owners, and anyone else who objects to homosexuality based on their faith!

In fact, just last year, EVEN Congressman Artur Davis (D-AL) admitted that under the legislation pastors could be ARRESTED for so-called hate crimes!

The Christian Family Coalition has just completed a survey of every Congressman in Florida and the vast majority (72%) are still undecided on the how they will vote on the so-called hate crimes bill!

This is our opportunity, the Florida Congressional delegation needs to hear from you today!

Please click here to send an e-mail to the Florida Congressional Delegation urging them to vote NO on H.R. 1913

Dear Member of Congress:

Under the 14th Amendment, ALL victims of violent crime are already currently afforded equal protection under the law regardless of sexual preference or proclivity.

H.R. 1913, if adopted, would unconstitutionally discriminate ME and millions of Americans who express our First Amendment rights to disapprove of homosexuality, bisexuality, cross-dressing, etc.

Furthermore, there is no need for this bill.  According to the latest FBI statistics, in 2007 there were about 1.4 million violent crimes committed in the U.S.  Of those, only 1,512 were reported as "hate crimes" motivated by "sexual orientation" bias.  Over two-thirds of those were allegations of "hateful" words, touching, intimidation, pushing or shoving.

Please, as a voter in Florida, I respectfully urge you to vote "NO" on H.R. 1913
